Welcome to the zany and somewhat dated mind of the RR man. I wasn’t going to start a blog but, Here I am!  I also said I would not join AARP , but I finally gave in. I have avoided both for quite some time.  If a reader happens to drop in and skim my efforts, he or she may wonder why I did not remain in obscurity.

Ah! blissful obscurity, no cellphones or electronic gadgets: no subliminal news or commercials; just two weeks vacation and a 12 mile wilderness trek to a pristine alpine lake full of native cutthroat trout. Throw in a fly and spin combo, a few friends and essential camp gear, quality cigars and nourishment and Walla!
